Vespers in gloaming light

Inside and out

I don’t think we should underestimate windows, do you?
After all, they let the light in don’t they?
They allow the breeze to dance through.
They bring the goodness of outside in. And keep the bad weather out when needed.
Sometimes in the right light, they give us rainbows on the floor. Through water or glass.
Sometimes at a specific angle they can help us see a reflection of ourselves that perhaps we didn’t know existed.
They reflect and refract. Open or closed they give and give in all sorts of ways.
God, please, let my heart be more like a window and less like a wall. Amen.
